Service Management Framework: ITIL

ITIL is a best practices framework for IT Service Management (ITSM) and seeks to simplify and consolidate IT management through a set of dedicated guides designed to improve Service Delivery and continual improvement. It defines the core Functions, Roles and Processes which are the basis of running a successful ITSM business or support team. ITIL has 5 dedicated modules based on the ordinary Service lifecycle
Service Strategy: Defining the types of Services which are to be offered to clients, ensuring value for all stakeholders
Service Design: Defining the core elements to each Service being provided
Service Transition: Ensuring that Services are fit for purpose and have provided the value based on the Strategy and Design elements
Service Operation: Ensuring the Service is operational
Continual Service Improvement: Improving the value of each Service on an on-going basis

Project Management Methodology: PRINCE2

PRINCE2 is a set of processes designed to provide a standard methodology to guide project management. It is utilized around the world, and is easily scalable for both small and large projects. PRINCE2 focuses on 7 core processes which form the basis for successful project delivery

  • Starting a Project
  • Initiating a Project
  • Directing a Project
  • Controlling a Stage
  • Managing Product Delivery
  • Managing Stage Boundaries
  • Closing a Project
