Last month, HP Inc. launched a global first, combining entertainment with technology to ‘elevate awareness of the security risks facing businesses and consumers.’
The organisation has engaged award-winning actor Christian Slater to front a four-part digital series across a year-long campaign. Slater, known in the industry for his role as hacktivist Mr. Robot in the Golden Globe winning drama-thriller of the same name, plays a ‘charmingly sinister hacker’ in the HP series.
“Hacking is a serious and growing problem for businesses and consumers. When HP asked me to partner on this series, I thought it was a great opportunity to help educate the public about how to better protect against cyber attacks,” said Christian Slater.
The series highlights security threats facing businesses around the world, showing overlooked vulnerabilities and poorly secured printers and PCs from the mailroom to the boardroom.
This first installment reinforces that security is no longer just the responsibility of the network or something at the perimeter, but it’s a concern for everyone.
HP has used the series launch to reinforce its commitment to reinvent security, and as Perth’s Gold HP Partner, MSS IT are proud to be a part of this initiative.
The company is proud to offer ‘The world’s most secure printing and PC’s’, with a combination of security features that can monitor to detect and automatically stop an attack then self-validate software integrity in a reboot.
Cybersecurity is no longer an issue just for the IT manager. We have worked with businesses big and small to audit their security vulnerability and create a strategy to protect the business from the inside out. Contact us today to book your audit >
